The Conscious Gourmet Institute – Teacher Training Programs
Turn your passion for healthy eating and cooking into income. Over the years Diane has taught teaching skills to countless students and found that they vary greatly in their level of experience, skills and goals. She has developed two career programs: The Culinary Classroom Teacher Training Program and the Teacher Training Program in Vegetarian/Vegan Cooking and Theory. These programs are offered in a group (as scheduled) or on an individual basis by request in her Santa Fe kitchen.
Culinary Classroom Teacher Training Program
This foundation program will give you the knowledge and skills for creating, organizing, navigating and presenting successful culinary classes that can be applied to any dietary philosophy. You’ll gain confidence in your ability to create effective and inspiring classes.
Who Would Benefit From This Program
It is designed for the individual who has previous training in nutrition and/or food preparation skills or for anyone who has the desire to share their passion and life experience in a cooking class setting.

In this program you will learn to
- clarify your vision and mission
- develop class objectives specific to your market
- identify how people learn and the various teaching methods that support their learning
- create agendas and food requisitions
- identify and create craving-free, nutritionally balanced menus
- develop and select recipes for single and series classes
- stock your kitchen with equipment and utensils
- work with kitchen assistants
- prepare yourself for teaching
- set-up and manage an optimal teaching kitchen environment

4-days, 9:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m. each day. Group or individual trainings.

Individual and small groups trainings are held in Santa Fe, NM except where indicated. Flights into the Sky Harbor Albuquerque Airport (one hour drive to Santa Fe) or into the Santa Fe Municipal Airport (United and American Airlines), a 15 minute drive to Santa Fe.
There are numerous accommodations in the Santa Fe area ranging in price: hotels, motels, B&B’s, casitas, Airb&b, etc., some within walking distance of Diane’s Santa Fe home. A resource list will be forwarded upon request.
